7 april 2022 it’s been a little wild, so let me catch you up: this week i finished my coursework in narrative medicine and my sweetheart started moving in. endings beginnings and making space for all that is to be it’s not as simple as installing a double towel bar… john may be organized but he is definitely a maximalist, one who lives larger (and louder) than life and teaches me to do the same. to jump before i may be ready. to no longer be “the quiet girl” i love it. still in my house i’ve always been the minimalist, with color coded bookshelves and alphabetized spices. okay, i do have a lot of white turtlenecks and quite a collection of clogs so it may be more complicated… regardless, this will be an adjustment for both of us a big step one we’re ready to take for many years i believed if everything looked good on the outside, if everything stayed in its proper place, then everything would be okay. but my insides told a different story. and i had to learn i deserve better than to be okay ~ we all do i’m grateful for the many chapters of my life because i needed to read and write them all to know that this is better even if my garage is full of boxes john and i can take the time to slowly put our things away because we have the capacity we have the space to hold everything yesterday after we finished moving his bunny (did i mention the bunny) the two of us surveyed the scene. then without me asking, john decanted his protein powder into a mason jar. “i don’t know where to put this,” he said heart skip “don’t worry, i do” holding space holding it together holding everything the things we do for love xo sew … . thank you for reading and for all you create each day. if you wish to practice together, here are some ways below:
